Old Jaffa Port & Market
The Old Jaffa Port used to be the entrance point for all Jewish immigration and is now one of Israel’s more popular tourist attractions. Lining the streets of the port, you'll encounter artists’ quarters, their studios, and little boutiques that sell their hand-crafted items, including jewelry and household decorations. You'll also fine art galleries exhibiting local artists from the area. There are also numerous stores that sell Judaica, art, archeological finds, and other knick knacks along Old Jaffa Port’s narrow alleys, which are named for Zodiac signs. Visitors can enjoy a meal at a variety of the port’s unique restaurants. Along the port is the Hatachana Complex, a pedestrian-only area. This historical site boasts numerous restaurants, cafes, galleries, organic markets, and other activities perfect for a family outing.
